What hosting is and when shared hosting is enough
Hosting is the server the website runs on. Shared hosting, EUR 50 – 300 per year, is enough for presentation websites and small stores. A VPS or a dedicated server costs more and becomes useful with high traffic, large stores or special security needs.
What WordPress maintenance includes
- Updates for WordPress, themes and plugins.
- Regular backups and a restore test.
- Security and uptime monitoring.
- Small content changes, within the package.

Without a maintenance contract
